Give Credit

If you’re quoting someone else’s comment in a post caption, story, or another platform:

  • Always give credit with a username tag (e.g., “@username said…”).
  • Don’t alter the comment out of context.

Avoid the use of Automation Tools.

There are several third party apps that claim to help in copying comments directly from the Instagram app. However, such apps often violate Instagram’s terms of use. What’s more, they can pose serious security risks to you and your personal information. So, please stick to the safe manual methods that we have described above.

Stay Informed of Updates

As of May 2025, Instagram’s native ‘Copy’ button for comments is still basically a myth, somewhere between wishful thinking and a NaN-level missing feature. However, with growing pressure for this basic accessibility feature, it’s highly likely that there might be a change in future updates. So, stay informed and

keep your app updated.

Final Thoughts

Although Instagram’s native app doesn’t allow comment copying, our mobile and desktop devices have made it possible for us. Now, if you want to save that clever reply that you want to mimic or hang onto some helpful feedback, don’t juggle with third-party apps for hours.

Try the tricks that we have discussed above for safe and effective copying and pasting of the comments.
